Margin Markers

Margin Markers always appear in the Print Layout View. Is
there an option that will remove them, so they do not show
up anymore?

Go to:
Your main menu, and then click on

Tools
Options
View
Print & Layout Options
take out the checkmark from "text boundaries"

Thank you. But those are not the ones I'm talking about.
These are the grayed out partially open triangles on the
top of the page...

In help this is what I can find:
If you're working in print layout view, the top and bottom
margins may not be visible if the White space between
pages option is not selected. On the Tools menu, click
Options. On the View tab, select the White space between
pages check box.

But this doesn't remove them... Any other suggestions?

Thank you so much!

Hi Mira,

Mar was right, unchecking "Text boundaries" will remove the "__| "that you
see in the corners. That is what you are talking about, right?
And, may I ask, why do you want to get rid of them?
Options. On the View tab, select the White space between
pages check box.
This refers to the space between pages in the print layout view. You can
just double-click in the space between the bottom of a page and the top of
the next one to see its effect.

Cheers!

These are caused by having support for an Asian language enabled. Go to
Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools | Microsoft Office <version>
Language Settings and disable support for any Asian languages.

View > Ruler? I don't think you can get rid of the margin
indicators without getting rid of the ruler, but
eliminating the ruler will take the markers with it.

Yes, these are the ones I'm talking about, however
the "Text Boundaries" is unchecked, and it doesn't remove
them. One of the customers wants them removed, have no
idea why, just bothers them I guess.
Thank you!

Thanks Suzanne! Unfortunately I do not have this option
available, it's turned off for everyone in our business
environment. And I do need support for Asian Language...

Any other way to remove them?

Thank you

Then the user will have to configure his or her own
machine. If View > Ruler has a check mark next to it,
clicking it will remove the ruler, and with it, the margin
markers. If the ruler is gone and the margin markers
remain, then there is something a bit unusual going on.

Tried the ruler, that doesn't solve the problem. Wondering
if it's a network setting that we have, since everyone has
the same issue. Thanks so much for your help!

If you need support for Asian languages, then you're going to get the "crop
marks." Sorry.
