I'm trying to design a report in landscape. I have set my margins to
0.5", above the minimum of my laser printer.
In the Report Header I draw a rectangular box which will be used as a
border. The corner is 0.6" and 0.6" and I drag it right to 10" and
down to 3.5". So the right edge of the box is 1"inside the paper
edge.
In this configuration, the right edge overflows onto a 2nd sheet. I
reduce the width of the box, moving the right edge from 10" to 9.9".
When I do that I get the error "section width is greater than page
width". Since I made the box smaller I don't understand why this
error presents itself. This seems to be a problem with the right
edge. As long as the box is bigger than 10" I don't get the error,
but instead the right edge overflows to another page.
I checked the column tab in page settings and it is set to 1 column
and same as detail. That results in 10.96 x 3.08".
Why do I get this error when I draw a box? I tried both lines and
rectangle. I've resized this box to quite a small size and I still
get this error. There is something fundament here that I just don't
get and am hoping someone can straighten me out.
