margins on an A6 document in print preview

I have created an A6 postcard which fills completely to the edges yet when I
look at the print preview, it shows the four copies on the A4 page but gives
an unusual white border round the page which is larger on the left and the
top of the page. The orientation is landscape.
I do not understand where the borders are coming from as I would like the
print to go right to the edge of the paper.
