Markers ('balises' in my version of XP)

Hi

I have a problem understanding the marker system which is
meant to recognize such things as address, name, place,
telephone number. etc

When I activate the system, it seems to work ok with
people's names but not with place names.

For example, I tried New York and Manchester but the
active marker didn't appear.

How exactly does this system work?

You probably know more about Smart Tags than anyone else here; most of us
gave up and disabled them after a day or so. AIUI, most of them are useless
outside the US, anyway.
