Marking Deleted Items as Read

I've got OL2007 and there's mail that is regualry moved to the deleted folder either :
a.. by a rule when it arrives (eg junk or spam) or
b.. because I see it in the inbox and I delete it without reading it.
However when they get to the deleted folder they are still shown as unread and show up in my 'unread' mail.

Is there a way I can get all mail sent to the deleted folder being shown as 'read'.

Yes, right-click on the Deleted Items folder and choose "Mark All as Read".
Or, you can add the "mark as read" option to the rules you've created for
sending mail to the Deleted Items folder.
