Marquee position over a jpg

I created a small Marquee that I have "Postioned
Absolutely" over a jpg that takes up a full page/cell on
a page of my website
(http://www.hydracoach.com/index2.htm). If you go to the
site, you will see I have the Marquee postioned just
below, and centered with some text that is part of the
jpg.

The problem I have is that the ends of the Marquee cell
seem to shift right or left, depending on whether or not
I have my Favorites showing on the left of my screen. I
suspect if different users were viewing the site in
different resolutions then the shift may even be
greater. Any suggestions on how to anchor the marquee so
it does not get out of the intended position, which is
centered below the text above? Again, the text is part
of the jpg.

Suggestion: Use tables to structure your page layout and avoid absolute
positioning and remove all text from the image, and type it on your page,
especially if you want the page to be indexed by search engines.

Try placing your marquee inside a table cell instead of using absolute
positioning. Set the marquee to specific pixel widths (less than the cell's
pixel width) until it stays within the "boundries" that you want it.

I would eliminate:

o Are You Drinking Enough Fluid?
o Introduce Active Hydration and its bullet list

from the large JPEG, and replace it with an 2-row, 2-
column HTML table containing:

Are You Drinking
(empty) Enough Fluid?

Introduce Active The marquee
Hydration
o bullet list

This will also decrease your download time.

All good suggestions. I decided to cut up the picture and
insert a stand alone table which did the trick.

thx.

In Firefox (new Mozilla browser) the marquee is running right over
'Calculate...' and begins way off on the right side ... beyond the table
line!
Many find moving text like that to be very annoying ... that's how I feel
about it to!
Sorry,
Eleanor
