Using Outlook 2007, Enterpirse. Have Palm Centro using outlook. Get message:

Can't copy (backup) because it is locked by another applcation. Trying to
use Outlook, "backup"

How can I back up?

Uncradle the Palm and make sure Windows (or Google) Desktop Search is not
indexing your mail.

For WDS, open the Indexing Options applet in Control Panel. I don't use
GDS, but I suspect there's a similar Control Panel applet for it, or some
kind of configurator in the main app. Read the documentation.
