I've two separate users who access the office mail server through Outlook
2003 via IMAP. Both individuals have run into the same problem.
If they access the mail on the mail server directly, or through a web mail
client, each will see within their Inbox two separate messages, MSG1 and
MSG2. However, when they run Outlook on their laptops and look in the IMAP
account's Inbox, they see a single message, one which has the sender and
subject from MSG1 and the body from MSG2. In short, both users have a
situation where two messages have become merged. MSG1 is different for each
user, but MSG2 is the same.
I've tried re-downloading headers and "all items", but the messages remained
merged.
What't the best way to force Outlook 2003 to re-download the contents of a
mail folder that's accessed through IMAP? Delete the IMAP account, restart
Outlook, then re-create it? Or is there an easier way?
I look forward to your response.
