mass email- how many is too many?

hi, i did my first mass email yesterday and it's coming back with error
message "too many recipients" 5552.
i split the groups into 100 each- what is the max. # allowed.
can't find the answer any where

Entourage has no limit. It's your ISP that has a limit (to prevent being
used for spam). You have to phone them up to ask them. When you know what
the limit is you can use my script Split Recipients X from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

to break up the group.

If the people on the list haven't explicitly agreed to receive the email, 1 is
too many.

But in any case, this is a PowerPoint newsgroup. Since PowerPoint doesn't do
email, I suspect you've followed the rabbit down the wrong hole.

oops, thought i was in the entourage section. everyone on my email
list wrote it down in my mailing list book, so that wouldn't be a
factor.
