master documents in word 2002

I have been reading on the internet today about Master
documents and corruption issues - they are generally
slated from everything I have read. Any ideas if
these 'issues' have been improved or addressed in version
2002 or 2003??

No significant changes, really. These versions are somewhat
more stable, especially compared to Word 97 or earlier. But
the basic mechansism remains the same.
