Master page content doesn't appear on my web pages?

I've spent a fair bit of time searching for answers to this one, apologies if
i've missed it, because this seems like a pretty basic problem here....

I'm new to Publisher, and am using 2003. I'm trying to create a basic
website, and i want a common left-hand side navigation bar and top section
with my company logo and tag line.

So i used the "master page", and got it all looking great. But when i
choose to apply the master page to my publication pages, it looks ok on the
screen, but if I choose "preview as web page" or publish my site to the web,
the pages appear without any of the master content on them? What have i done
wrong here?

Ack, i just found the answer under the "web" section of the publisher forums.
It appears master pages arent' supported for web pages in Publisher. Would
be nice if the software itself gave me some clue as to that!

I have to copy and paste all my items on the master page across to my
publication pages. Here's hoping i don't change my mind on anything after
doing that across my 14 web pages!

I know, i know, i shouldn't be using Publisher for doing a web site, but i
really hate Frontpage....

Your hating of FrontPage would go away, if you would just take the time to
learn what it will do for you.

You're probably right. I initially designed this web site in FrontPage, but
then changed to a new PC, and now trying to re-initiate the wizard that will
allow me to insert new pages in my navigation bar is not working, so i
decided to start again in Publisher.

In Publisher you just right-click the navigation bar and choose to edit it,
and you can insert, re-order etc...i can't seem to get that to work in
FrontPage, so i gave up.
