I am using MSP 2003 Standard and have inserted sub plans into a master plan.
My program-wide earned value was calculating properly until today, when I
re-baselined my master. The sub plan EV figures are fine, but the master
plan EV figures are now $0. I was making changes to the individual sub plans
and watched my Level 1 task for the master plan turn to $0 once I saved the
sub plans. This has not happened before. I know there is a sequence to
updating the sub plans vs. updating the master.
1. Why would this happen?
2. Do I need to delete, then re-insert the sub plans each time I baseline
them?
3. What are the sequence of actions I must take to update the sub plans vs.
the master? This is confusing when using a master/sub plan strategy.
I am ready to go into production and have re-baselined a number of times as
I readied ech plan more and more.
