Master Project Publish Problem

Hi There,

If I try and publish a Master Project Schedule on MSP 2007 Prof , it
provides the error : 20010 (0x4e2a) - Access Security denied - You are not
allowed access.

This is done on the Project Manager profile. The same with the administrator.

Any help , am I missing something small here ?

Hi Jay,

Could be turned off in server settings. Setting is called "Allow master
projects to be saved and published to Microsoft Office Project Server 2007".
To be found under additional server settings.

Hi there;

Thank you for your reply, however.... If I now log on with "Administrative"
rights, then can I publish a master project schedule.
The problem however is that the project community with the "project managers
" rights can not publish master projects, only the users with Adminsitrative
rights...What am I missing. I have enabled the setting which allows master
project schedules to be published. Any idea and help would be highly
appreciated. It blogs the project managers to publish master projects and
returns a error code...

Then there is probably one of the sub projects in the master where the
specific PM is not assigned as the owner of the project.
He/she will need the same rights on the subprojects to have the ability to
publish the master.
Please check the Project manager user group on the different categories and
different settings for the "publish project" permission.
