I have created a master project with inserted read only view projects. The
master project is maintained on our network while the inserted projects are
maintained on Project server 2003.
The project managers maintain their projects on the server and publish
changes as they make them.
I have a random issue where the master project does not have the correct
start and/or finish date. If I expand the inserted project the correct
overall project start and finish dates will be reflected. If I then collapse
the expanded project the overall start and finish date stays correct. If I
then save the master project on the network and then open the master off of
the network the correct start and finish dates revert back to the invalid
start/finish dates until I expand the inserted project in the master.
What is most interesting is that the invalid start or finish date does not
relate to any date in the project plan. I have then saved the project to the
network, deleted from master plan, and then deleted the plan from the server.
I then open the project from the network and save and publish the plan to
the server. I then insert the newly saved server project into the master plan
and have the same date issue after I save the master, close the master and
reopen the master plan.
We have recently applied SP2 to the server expecting this issue to go away.
It has not. Any ideas?
