Master Project with imbedded subprojects-problem displaying resour

Have an MS Project 'Master' Plan that includes subprojects imbedded within
it. These subprojects comme in by pointing to a separate subproject file.
Both the master and the subprojects use the same resource list. Reources are
assigned in the subproject tasks and in the higher lever master plan tasks.
The % complete is also assigned in subproject tasks. When I bring in the
subprojects, the resources and the % complete do not appear, but they are
there in the separate subproject file. Can anyone help me identify what I
may be doing wrong?

CL,
The part where you say you, "...bring in the subprojects..." makes me
wonder just how you set up the master. The best way to create a master
file is to open a blank project and then use Insert/Projects to insert
the subprojects. When done in this way, all the fields in the
subprojects (including Resource Names and % Complete) can be displayed
at the master level, assuming those fields are shown in columns of the
view table being used in the master. Note, the standard Entry table for
the Gantt Chart view includes the two fields you mention.

I appreciate your response. I did insert the subprojects into the blank
master plan. The projects I am pulling into this master belong to various
project managers, and I have found that this problem was indeed user error
(but found it to be theirs, not mine....). Data was missing from some of
their projects, resulting in my display problems. I have fixed their data
and now am receiving good results within my master plan. Thank you very much.

CL,
OK, that was an easy fix. You're welcome.
