Master Projects

I have read some "warnings" stating not to publish master/subprojects to
Project Server, but no real explanation as to why - anybody know?

PM,

if you publish your master plan project to Project Server, all resources
assignments will be booked twice with the assignments included in the master
plan project. Hence, their availability will decrease, the whole resource
management capability of Project Server would becomse useless.

When you publish the assignments in a master project, it creates duplicate
assignments on the PWA timesheet of each resource assigned to tasks in any
subprojects of the master project. Hope this helps.
