Master Property Problem

When I change the Datagraphic for the shapes in the drawing window, the
link between the master and the shapes breaks in Visio 2007 Beta 2, if
i dont change the datagraphic then anychange into master stencil is
reflected to its shapes automatically,can anyone help is there anywant
to prevent this breakage by using some standard feature in visio or
using some VBA code?.

Any idea would be greatly apreciated.

Yes, I am facing the same problem with Visio 2007 beta 2, it is
perfectly Ok when I am using the predefined datagraphic for any master
shape placed on the drawing window, but, the moment I select some other
predifined datagraphics on my datagraphic window for this shape, the
link between master and the shape is broken. The color changes to
default blue color instead of my defined master shape color.
Some body should come up to solve this problem since flexibility of
changing datagraphic in Visio 2007 is restricted in this way?

If I understand the scenario, you have shape masters with Data Graphics
pre-assigned. Then you want to switch to a different data graphic on the
shape instances. I believe the solution is to avoid pre-assigning a data
graphic. Then any data graphic can be applied later and the shape instance
remains inherited from the shape master. If there are additional
constraints or issues, please clarify.

Thanks Nelson for the solution to my problem, yes it is working for me.
But, the problem is that I am having number of data graphics in my
template file. So, it will become difficult to search for a particular
data graphic to be attached to a desired shape?
