Is it possible to change shapes in a drawing by changing the related master
shape in a stencil?
If so: how?
If not: what then does "instance" mean in visio help on 'revise a master':
"....In the master drawing window, revise the master. When you have
finished, close the master drawing window. When you are prompted to update
the master, click Yes. The instances of the shape are updated to show the
changes. ...

When you drop a shape on a page it really makes a stop in the document
stencil before it get's dropped. As long as you don't alter the shape in the
drawing, changes made to the 'master' shape in the document stencil should be
copied auto-magically into the drawing. You can open the document stencil
from the file menu, right click the shape and then edit the master.
