Master slide name automatically renamed

Hi all,

I have created a design template (POT file) in PowerPoint 2003 with several
masters in it (each named differently and each preserved).
I've created a script that use the master names to do an action on each
slide.

However, I've noticed that the 1st master slide is automatically renamed
when I create a new presentation from the template.
The new name corresponds to the name of the template (e.g. if the template
is "blank.pot", the 1st master slide name is "blank"; if it is "my new
template.pot", the 1st master slide name is "my new template")

Is there a way to avoid this?

Thanks in advance

Mooh,

If you go to the slide master

right click the slide master and choose "rename" you can call it what you
want it to be

Hi TAJ,

I've already named all of my masters (like "Film Strip", "Film Strips with
graphs" ...)

The problem is that, when I close PowerPoint and create a new presentation
from y template, the first master in the list is named as the POT file and
not as I previously named it (like "blank" if the template is named
blank.pot instead of "Film Strip").

Regards,
