Masters and Read Only: Need the Server Experts

Hello:
I'm concerned about my projects being pulled into someone else's master
project on server 2003; and them not setting the inserted project (mine) to
read only. Can the owner of a master change anything on my plan when the
read only is not checked?

If yes--they CAN, what can I do to prevent this? Under NO circumstances
should any other plan owner be able to tweak one of my plans--unless I
transfer ownership.
