Master's name changed on drop?

Hi,
I'm using the master's shape name to make some decisions once it's dropped
(not a great idea, I know, but late to change it). I had always assumed that
the name would be the same plus some numbers at the end to make it unique, so
I just used the instr function to check the name. But yesterday I got a bug
where a master being dropped changed its name to Sheet.150, even though the
same master being dropped N number of times before and after kept the masters
name plus the numbers. Today (after re-opening the file) I can't reproduce
this happening. What's up? Is this a known bug?

Shapes have two names. There is a friendly name (Name property) that has
the master followed by a number. There is also the NameID property which is
"Sheet" followed by a number. The Name property is not always usable as a
reference to the shape.

Shapes that are instances of masters have a Master property that you can
check to get the actual master.
