Hi,
I have two tables both have company ID and company name. but they are from
different coding systems. That means, I have table1 with ID1 and name1 and
table2 with ID2 and name2. Some companies appear in both tables. And they are
the companies I am interested in and want to find out.
Now I want to complete table1 and let it has information of ID1, name1 and
ID2. So the names of the company is used to link the two tables. However, I
have a problem here, the names are in Chinese characteres and they are not
exactly the same in two tables. So when I link the two tables in query,
access always gives me blank result! Is there a way that I can match the two
tables based on the 'key characteres' of the names?
thanks a lot!
