Material type resources in Project View?

G

Hi,

we're using material type resources in our projects to track other
costtypes. I'd like to show all costs (work and material) in a
Projectview in PWA. We don't want to use the Portfolio Analyzer because
people could get information they're not classified to see.

I understood that material type resources are not available in a
Project Center View, is that correct?

I would expect, however, that material type resources should be
available in a Project View based on Resource Cost. In here
work-resources are available but I can't get the material!

Am I overlooking possibilities or is it just impossible?

best regards,
GP

JennyK,

with Project Server 2003 the only way to manage dependencies is using a
masterplan. You will then be able to create links between projects in this
masterplan, representing your dependencies.

To open a new masterplan go to Project Center in Project Web Access, mark
all projects and then click the "Open" button. All projects will be imported
into one project file, you can save the file as MPP. It is NOT recommended to
saved the masterplan file back to Project Server e.g. because of duplicate
resource usage.

Hope this helps...

Marc
