Mathematical structure behind project

Is there a good description of the mathematical structures behind
MS-Project? I don't mean the formulae in the first place but the general
structure, like basic quantities and their relations, algorithmic structures
(e.g. for optimizing a plan or the optimal assignment of ressources),
existence proofs and so on.

Any hint welcome.

Hi Wolfgang,

I'm afrais the answer is no.
But one thing is for sure: Project has NO algorithm to optimize resource
usage or assignment.
It strictly works on the basis of the assignments the project manager makes.

Hope this helps,

No there is not.
A look at the database and the object model will give you an idea of the
data structure however.
Read the document called projdb.htm which is on your project CD and any
computer with project installed.
