MathType style of equation numbering

D

Dave Minerath

When using MathType, there is the option of automatically numbering
equations using either left- or right-justification for the number, with the
equation itself centered on the line. How would I go about doing the same
thing using the built-in Equation Editor? I'm trying to troubleshoot
documents that get corrupted (by doing such radical things as opening them)
and want to remove MathType as a troubleshooting step.

Thanks,
Dave

There's an article here about how to do it (see item #4 & 5):

There have also been other methods posted to the newsgroups in the
past year. A simple search on groups.google.com should turn up
something.
