Matrix Organization

Hi all,

one question regarding the following requirements and my ideas /
solutions...

Team Members should be added from the whole resource pool (grant read
only rights easily by adding members to project team)

ONLY Team Members from my department should be assigned to tasks.
Is this possible?

Currently I have the problem that the "assign resource" permission
denies adding other colleagues than from my department to my project
team....and this should be possible to grant read access for other
colleagues.

Any ideas??? (without managing groups / categories for all our
projects)

PS: We're using Project / Server 2003 SP3

The Project Server security model doesn't accommodate matrix organisations
very well at all. Unfortunately you'll have to micro manage the security via
groups/categories to achieve these requirements.

Do you know external tools or addins for this issue?
