Does anybody know what is the
largest allowed file size? In Access
2002 it is 2 GB and it is giving us
a headache.
Ah, I won't sell my stock in over-the-counter drug manufacturers, then --
the limit remains at 2GB, as Doug said.
Assuming you have been diligent to regularly compact your database, and
can't reduce the size by that method, you can extend that limit by linking
tables in other Access databases, each of which can be 2GB.
Chances are you'll run out of disk storage and processing horsepower before
you run into the limit. My recollection is that you can link tables in up to
255 databases, but there may not actually be such a limit.
