max folder size for .pst file in outlook 2000

Am finding at work that Outlook will not work with a .pst
file size greater than 2g (that's right). Does anyone
know where I can either find a workaround or something
documented with the max file size?
Thanks

This has been well documented since Outlook 97. See this Microsoft KB
article regarding max sizes in Outlook:

OL2000: (CW) Purpose and Capacity of Outlook Storage Facilities
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;208480

This was the easiest article to find but it applies to all versions of
currently released Outlook programs.

Good news is that the upcoming Outlook 2003 will allow up to 20 terrabyte
..pst files (yeah, a little mind-boggling) but by default puts an upper limit
of 20 gigs on the file.

There is no tool out there to get around this as it is a hard coded limit
that they had to recode to increase for OL2003.

If you already have a 2 gig .pst file and need to open it, try this page for
information:

OL: Oversized PST and OST Crop Tool
