Max Size for Word Documents?

What is the maximum file size allowed by Word for a
single document?

Margie,

Per the help file the limit is 32MB. I have never tried
to create one that big and I have read that is the "text"
limit. You can actually have a larger file with graphics,
etc.

Unless your documents include very long tables, many graphics or text boxes,
excessive section breaks, or other complications, you're definitely doing
something wrong (or your system may be underpowered). I've worked with
highly formatted documents upwards of 600 pages without issues, and some
users report creating Word documents (text only) as long as 10,000 pages.
The absolute file size limit is 32 MB for the text, not counting graphics.
