In our custom form we have created a Customer ID field, where the ID is typed
in manually with each new contact and they have to match exactly to a
specific format in order for our courier system to understand it when we
export it, however because this is done by many different hands, I'm hoping
to find away to control it a bit.
Our ID # consists of 8 letters a dash and 1 or 2 numbers (ie. aaaaabbb-11)
I have gone into the Advanced Properties for that field and in Max Length
typed in 11 characters, so that at least prevents it from going beyond the
appropriate length. However I need it tweaked a bit further...is there any
way to differentiate between letters and numbers, so the maximum letters
would be 9 and for numbers it would be 2?
