Is there a limit to the number of wav files that can be embedded in
PPTXP.
Creating a prez with 50 awards names, each with a wav file for persons
name. Options setting in PPT for embedded files set to max at 50 megs
(non of the wav files surpass 1 meg) as recommended in earlier threads,
wavs are being listed as "contained in presentation" however after 15
or so slides (each with it's own wav file) the next wav's no longer
play.
This seems opposite to the recommended methods for keeping wav sounds
attached/embedded with PPT show. Is there a size limit to the
reference file PowerPoint uses to track it's file properties that we
have surpassed?
Our issue has been resolved by forcing PPT to link all of these
snippets of audio (setting max embedded setting down to almost 0 and
rebuilding the presentation) however the issue may present itself again
and it would be nice to have data to draw from before making the same
mistake.
The Laptops have ample memory, plenty of processor and are well
maintained - it just appears that there is a limit to the number of
references for wav playback. Thoughts?
