Large Documents (User Manuals) that have a lot of images
(Screen Shots etc) can corrupt easily.
I recently completed a Manual that readily became corrupt
at about 9MB - luckily it would cause Word to crash, and so
was easily (Auto-)Recovered.
It is probably wise to use Master Document/Subdocuments for
any solid body of work.
It works faster, is more reliable and can readily be broken up
and zipped for e-mail etc.
