Maximum size of data range

I keep rainfall records and now have 28 years' worth. I now note that the
top of the highest stacked bar of each month's rainfall protrudes through
the top of the chart box and does not contain that month's colour. It would
seem that 28 years is one more than Excel can handle (i.e the data range is
too long). Does anyone agree or disagree with this, or do I have a fault?

Rob;

I don't think you stepped into an Excel limit.

Your range can hold a maximum of 255 colums or 65535 rows.
These 28 months of you are: 10220 day or 336 months.

Asuming you use rows as a datarange, you did not reach a limit.

Maybe the scale of your axis are not set correctly ?
