Maybe Filters?

Never have used them yet. Filters that is.
I am looking for a way to have like a comparison report
Something where I can take 2 different months or 2 different years and
compare them to each other, whether it be for the whole report year or by
individual monthly items.
I know this is not alot of information to go by, but I am trying to get an
ideal of what has to be done

This looks very close to what I want to do ,but 1 thing,
is there a way to filter the columns from a form?
