McAfee security settings

I installed McAfee Internet Seecurity v5.0 a couple weeks
ago in anticipation of the 9/11 anniversery mischief. Now
I cannot download the Microsoft Windows and Internet
Explorer updates and patches. The Microsoft error message
states that the security settings are blocking access but
provides no details on what they should be. The is a long
list of toggles in McAfee with no clue what does what. Do
you have any suggestions?

Sorry this is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try
annexcafe.general.user2user or McAfee newsgroup.

If the files you can't download are included in an e-mail from Microsoft
or from a link supplied in an e-mail from Microsoft, McAfee has saved you
from a virus. Microsoft does NOT EVER send patches as attachments. There
are several viruses masquerading as e-mails from Microsoft.

If this is not the case see the first line. Also keep watching here,
someone may happen to be here that knows the answer.
