McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0 VirusScan Alert bo:heap issue

Hi all:

Just want to see if some of you have the same issue and if so whether
you have a solution already. I'm using MS Outlook 2003 (with all the
most recent patches) which seem to have some problem with McAfee
VirusScan Enterprise 8.0. From time to time VirusScan will kick in and
pop up a error message saying:

Message: VirusScan Alert!
Pathname: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE::GetProcAddress
Detected As: bo:heap
State: Blocked by Buffer Overflow Protection

Does anyone I'm encoutering this problem and how to solve this issue?

Yup had that issue as well. I disabled all the features of McAfee except the
on-access scanner before I completely abandoned it. It was causing me more
grief than joy running it.
