I may hate to admit it, but I had my PC built by a former friend, long before
I knew much about computers and configuring them. I did recently do some
microsoft updates and the Genuine Advantage notification, did tell me that I
do have a illegal copy of Windows XP Pro. Unfortunatly, I did not know this
until recently, but the answer to your quuestion is -YES. Since I have
recently become a A+ certified computer tech as well as starting a new
career, I am discovering alot of things like this. Also once my budget
permits I do plan on getting a legal copy, however I have no idea of when
that will be and trust me if I could prove it and find this former friend who
has moved out of state, I would love to turn him into Microsoft, but alas I
have no reciepts or any other proof. But still to answer my question then, Is
the only way to fix this problem with Ofiice XP SP-3 is that i need a legal
copy?
Thanks for your time.
