I have upgraded to A2007.
I have clients who use A2003.
Is ther a way to create MDE in 2007 which can be opened by A2003 users?
I have not converted these DB's to the 2007 format.

Hi, Tom.
I have upgraded to A2007.
I have clients who use A2003.

You need to reinstall Access 2003 to build the Access 2003 MDE for your
clients, or else have your clients upgrade to Access 2007 so that you can
create an Access 2007 MDE for them.

Is ther a way to create MDE in 2007 which can be opened by A2003 users?

Uh, sorry. No. I haven't built that utility yet, if it's even possible. I
don't have Access 2007 to build and test it on.

HTH.

Each version of ACCESS can create an .mde file. However, that .mde file can
be run only by that same verion of ACCESS. 2007 ACCESS cannot create a 2003
..mde file.

Thank you.
I see that A2007 creates ACCDE files for use only by A2007.
I have re-installed A2003, to handle earlier versions until they are phased
out.
