Hi All,
I have a database, frontend and backend, which i have recently
converted from A2000 to A2003. As well as that I have converted the
frontend database to an MDE format.
There are several users of the database, all of who have a local copy
of the frontend on their machine, which links to the backend database
on a network drive.
Since converting to MDE users have experienced large wait times when
saving records to the database.
The database has also started duplicating and repeating records.
The database is a questionnaire audit like system, where team managers
record audits against the employees, dependent on which department they
work in, it shows the relevant audit form for that dept.
A typical audit has 35 questions, however on 1 audit there are over 2
million answers recorded against it because of the large save wait time
and the duplication issue.
Are there any known issues with MDE files? Has anyone experience any
issues like this before? And if so, is there a known workaround?
I'm having to revert back to mdb in the mean time.
Many Thanks
Adam
