MDI format

Hello,

We are working with a customer who requires documents in a MDI format.

I know how to do this; I print to the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer
and then select Save As Type MDI. However the only choice I have is to save
the doc as a TIFF format.

My coworker can do it. We are both using Office 2003. But I can't.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

It's possible that you don't have the Document Image Writer installed.

In the Control Panel, start the Add/Remove Programs item, select Microsoft
Office, and click the Change button. On the first page of the wizard, leave Add
or Remove Features selected. On the second page, check the box for "Choose
advanced customization of applications". On the third page, expand the icon for
Office Tools, then expand Microsoft Office Document Imaging, and make sure the
Document Image Writer is marked as "Run from my computer". Click the Update
button. (If the installer wasn't cached on your computer, you'll be asked for
the installation CD.)

Hi Jay,

I checked the install as suggested and it was already installed - so I did
the old uninstall / reinstall / reboot (of the Image Writer) but I still
only get the .TIFF format.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Helen
