mdi printer driver disappeared

When choosing the print command, I used to be able to select the Microsoft
document imaging printer that created a file in the mdi format. This printer
has disappeared from the "select printer" dialog. How can I re-install it?

Do a "detect & repair". The Document Image Writer is installed by default when you
install Office.
