MDW - Currently use

1-Can someone tell me why sometime the .mdw file that I
use to secure my Access database send the
message "Test.MDW currently in use" and refuse to let any
user enter a database

2-How Can I repair this problem?

3-How can I prevent it to happen again ?

Do all users have modify permissions (create/delete) on the folder where the
mdw is?

With everyone out, is there still a test.ldb in the folder? - if so, delete
it.

Also ensure you don't give your mdw and the mdb the same name (if they are
in the same folder). They each need to create a ldb file.

-Test.ldb is deleted
-The .MDW and .MDB are not in the same folder


Can you explain me why the .MDW file was working perfectly
last week and today it doesn't ?

I manage to repair the .MDW file and everyting was back to
normal(Users were able to acces the databse). But it
happen again the same message"Test.MDW currently in use"
and no one can enter the database

I can't think of anything specific, but MDW files can corrupt as easily as
MDB files. Have you looked at Tony's corruption page?

Perhaps you can narrow down the workstation that is causing this.
