Media Clips

I can import media clips from my hard drive, but only ones
that are in REAL1 player. I have a bunch of media clips
but they are in MediaPlayer and PowerPoint keeps giving me
an error message.

How do I reformat the media clips to REAl1 or:

How do I get PowerPoint to recognize/accept MediaPlayer
clips?

Thanks,
Samoa.

You forgot to tell us what the error message is.

Oops. I figured out how to import the clips.
(Used "insert object" and then put them in the library and
for some reason that works)

HOWEVER...........is there a way that I can get the media
clip to play full screen instead of just in the small
media box in the slide?

Thanks Sonia

Actually; I'm still getting error messages for MediaPlayer
files. It reads:

Clip Gallery could not create a preview image for (file
name). This may be due to a missing, corrupt, or
incorrect version of a graphic filter or media player.
For more information, see troubleshooting in Clip Gallery
Help. Continue importing clips?

I can open these files and view them; I even burned them
to a CD and tried to import them from there but i get the
same error message.

Hi Samoa,

if you say "media clips" I think you're talking about film and sound files?
Which file format do they have (i.e. which file extension)?

If they are films and/or sounds, why don't you use "Insert - Film and
Sound - from File"? That should be the right method for it.

If you plan to distribute the powerpoint file with the inserted media clips,
you should copy your media files into the same directory as the powerpoint
file before inserting them. otherwise the links will break.

Regards,
Ute
