media list of a slideshow

Is there any way that Power Point 2007 provides a place that lists to someone
working on a presentation they did not author, what media clips are placed in
it and the related file names of same? The statistics tab in document
properties does indicate the # of media clips; but, beyond this, I could not
find any other place that hints at show related media.

I often have to provide support after the fact; often the original author is
MIA or has not done any documenting of items like this. Any thoughts of where
Power Point might keep track of something like this would be appreciated.

thanks Steve for again fielding a topic of mine. Your suggestion might be a
useful solution, if it can be funded here.

So, there is nothing built-in to Power Point to cover my need...right? This
is something the developers might want to take notice of.

Peace

For others interested, I did find some more info within PP2007. If you select
a movie clip and access the movie tools tab from the navigation ribbon, then
choose the Movie Options chunk, the inserted movie duration, file path, and
name do show up at the bottom under information in the presenting dialog box.

BUT, the downside is this means you have to know in advance where a movie is
and have selected it to even get to this information.

Understood Steve. Yep, a free demo is real easy to sneak past the
accountants. And, maybe I am being toooo cautious about asking for $ for the
purchase. It's kinda' ugly out there in the economy.

VBA is another option; I just don't have the skillset. I've been told VB is
not the same as VBA. In your opinion, is learning VB good enough to let you
tackle using VBA for Microsoft office applications?

Regards
