media player and photogallery error

I have inserted a windows media player for an audio file <a
href="http://www.maxwell.syr.edu/ict/knowledgebase/software/frontpage/pdf/insert_streaming_media.pdf">this
way</a>. I have also added a "slideshow" formatted picture gallery.

When playing the music, clicking on a different picture in the slideshow
automatically stops the music. I don't have any clue as to why these two
elements are connected, or how to fix it. <b>I'd like to be able to play the
music and scroll through the pics independently.</b>
