media player and .pps files

When I open an outlook message with a .pps extension, windows media player
opens and has doesn't recognize .pps files. How can I fix it so when I open a
..pps file powerpoint will open and NOT windows media player??

Does the same thing happen if you save the file to your hard drive and
double click it? If yes, which I believe it will, just right click on the
file, go to properties and click on Change for File Opens With...
