We recently (just before the new DST) upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange
2003. An odd thing is happening to meeting requests coming from External
sources (outside of the company). If a meeting request comes to us and the
request is in the email that you open up, the response bar (Accept, Decline,
Tentative, etc) is available for you to click on. If however, a meeting
request comes in as an attachment, and you open up that meeting request
attachment the response bar (Accept, Decline, Tentative, etc) is greyed out.
This happens with Outllook 2000 ( SP1, SP2, SP3, or with no SP), Outlook 2003
(with SP2). BUT, the really odd thing is that when using OWA with IE 6.0
sp2, I open the meeting attachment it displays the response bar correctly and
is not greyed out. It doesn't matter what type of email system it comes from
(Notes or Exchange), if it is a meeting attachment it will not display
correctly in any version of outlook (but will display in OWA). Any thoughts?
