Meeting invitations when resource is already booked

I just created a new meeting with 6 people and 1 resource. When I "sent" the
invitation I got a message "resource already booked, pick another resource"
(or something close to that). My question is- Did the invitations go out even
tho the resource is not available? Q2- What if I booked 2 resources (room and
easel)? will the invite go out if the easel is already "booked". So I guess
my question here is "Do all the resources have to be available for the invite
to be sent"?
