Meeting Notices going into Personal Calendar, not Default Calendar

All my meeting notices keep going into my personal calendar rather than my
default calendar. How do I fix this? I would like to get rid of my personal
calendar alogether (not just hide/remove from "My Calendars", but delete from
existence). Is this possible?

If they're going to yoru "personal calendar", then that's the default.
Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next and look at the "Deliver new e-mail to the
following location" drop-down at the lower left. Where does it point?

If what I think is true, you should be able to change the drop-down to be
your mailbox and after rebooting Outlook you'll ve able to close the extra
folders.

Thanks for the response Brian. I went to "Deliver new e-mail to the
following location" and the value shows my default mailbox as the location.
The personal folders are provided in the drop-down, but were not selected as
the location.

I remember this problem happening to me a year ago and I believe there was a
bug fix for it, but I can't remember where to find it. Any ideas?

Are you saying that the meetings appear in the Personal Folders calendar
when you click Accept and not in the mailbox calendar?

Yes, that is correct. When I accept a meeting notice, it appears in my
Personal calendar and not my mailbox calendar. I have to then drag it back
over to my mailbox calendar.

RIght-click the root of the data store containing the calendar where the
appointments go by default and choose Properties, then Advanced. What
appears on the General tab?

I see:

Personal Folders2
Type: Folder containing Mail and Post Items
Location: Microsoft Office Outlook
Desription: <blank>
Show number of unread items <circle is checked>

When posting to the folder, use IPM.Post

Automatically generate Miscrosoft Exchange views <box is checked>

Well, I'm stumped. I can't see how accepting a meeting request could do
this unless that folder is in your delivery location, unless you have some
add-in causing the issue. Perhaps someone else will be able to figure it
out. Sorry.
