Meeting organizer receives notification

Just wondering if this is by design. If I schedule a meeting and invite a
group (I am also a member of the group), I get an invitation in my Inbox.
When I open up the invite and try to accept, it tells me that since I am the
meeting organizer, I do not need to respond.

Yes, it is by design. Remove yourself from the group and you will not see
the invitation.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Jason asked:
